Great news friends!

Families Across New Hampshire (FANH), a Granite State based advocacy organization dedicated to promoting pro-family public policy, launched yesterday and we are excited to start making a difference!

FANH, a 501c4 organization, will engage in public education, lobbying and political communications in support of pro-family public policy such as the right-to-life, the restoration of traditional marriage, parental authority, religious freedom and pro-family tax policies.

Our mission is a simple but critical one: to unite individual families, church leaders of all denominations, civic and community leaders and political leaders behind a shared initiative to protect, preserve and restore traditional values in New Hampshire.

FANH believes that the health of our state and our nation depends upon stable families comprised of a man, woman, and their children.  For nearly fifty years, governmental policies have become increasingly indifferent - or even hostile - to the wellbeing of the family.  The social pathologies that have resulted are obvious to any objective observer.

The activist groups that have been so instrumental in undermining marriage over the past few years in New Hampshire have reacted with howls of outrage that there is now an organization in the state that will oppose their destructive agenda. 

These groups, with national fundraising and a formidable political apparatus, succeeded in making New Hampshire the first state to amend its statues to redefine "marriage" to include gay couples.  They were also able to intimidate Gov. John Lynch into abandoning his promise to voters that, on his watch, marriage would not be sacrificed to political correctness.

FANH opposes the objectives and the tactics of these groups.  New Hampshire has a long tradition of reasoned debate, and FANH intends to comport with that tradition.  Unlike the activist groups that attacked FANH yesterday as "anti-gay", we will not engage in character assassination.  By the same token, we are not going to be silenced by those who rely on insults, invective, and misrepresentations as substitutes for reason.
