annual fashion show fundraiser to benefit the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic

August 2, 2012 (Los Angeles, CA): The Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic (HSFC) announces its annual fundraising event today. Let Them Eat Cake, a Marie Antoinette themed fashion show, will take place at historic Barnsdall Gallery Theater (4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, California 90027) on Thursday, September 13th, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Fashion Show Producer and Director Alisa Steen (Funkie Town Boutique Silver Lake) explains "Tacy Padua, Director of the HSFC, is doing an impressive job keeping the clinic running despite enormous budget cuts. My inspiration for this year's event is a painting by the fashion show's Creative Director, Larimie Garcia, which brings to mind the opulence and frivolity of Marie Antoinette." Designer Elizabeth Marcel (hats and clothing) and Laura Howe of Silver Lake boutique Matruska Construction (

The Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic needs financial assistance due to the severe cutbacks in state funding. Only with donations can they continue serving uninsured patients. Clinic Director Tacy Padua says "Because of the current economic crisis, and the unprecedented growth in the unemployment rate in California, free health care services are needed now more than ever. Our clinic relies on these fundraisers to make ends meet."
HSFC’s board of directors, staff and volunteers stand firm in their mission to provide free, quality health care services. HSFC is a state licensed nonprofit, 501C3 health care facility serving the community since 1968 thanks in large part to individual donations (checks can be made payable to
