Dear Teachers and Staff Members:
As you have
been informed, our school has made it mandatory for all Teachers and Staff Members to become certified by the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to be prepared for a earthquake or other disaster.
More than 100 of us attended classes last November and December and graduated with our certification. As employment contracts will begin to be issued in April, it is imperative that you complete these CERT classes and present your graduation certificate to Mrs. Jasmine Barsoumian before a contract can be issued to you for the 2011-2012 school year. If you still not certified, you can visit the CERT-LA website. They have a calendar of classes. You can even view it in several different languages. You need CERT Level 1. It is composed of 7 classes. You must attend all 7 classes and present your Graduation Certificate in order to be certified and receive a contract.
