SINGER/SONGWRITER ALICIA WITT RELEASES
LIVE AT ROCKWOOD
“…Acting is only part of who she is. More than that next plum role, Alicia Witt, has had one burning desire for most of her life: get her music heard… Hers is not a “starlet picks up an instrument as a folly” kind of story. Far from it. For her, it all began behind a piano. She studied classical music at age 7. Practiced 4 hours a day. Entered international competitions for the next 7 years… That talent is also quite clear in the four songs on her self-released
Alicia Witt EP…” – Mike Mettler/Sound + Vision Magazine (cover story and full interview available on www.soundandvisionmag.com)
“…If you get the chance, and I hope you do, then see Alicia Witt – she will leave you feeling content, happy and just in an overall better mood than when you arrived. Witt’s sound is undeniably her own.” – Danielle Boise/Target Audience Magazine
“…With an honest and friendly smile, a little laughing an introduction to each and every song, Alicia Witt connected with her audience, and made it personal.” – Alex Zander/MK Magazine
Los Angeles, CA/July 19, 2012 – Singer/songwriter (and actress) Alicia Witt is pleased to announce the release of her new record, “
Live at Rockwood.”
On the heels of her 9 city promo tour, Alicia finished her tour and rocked her hometown of Los Angeles in mid-June at Hotel Café debuting her new songs and treating her friends and the industry crowd to some old favorites.
“
Live at Rockwood,” which was recorded at Alicia’s January 2012 live show at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2, was completely funded by her recent successful Kickstarter campaign. Although just released, the album is already garnering rave reviews.
“Performing my own music is very personal and means more to me than I can say,” says Alicia. “It’s a thrill unlike anything else I know and I’m absolutely loving this journey with the new record.”
