Giving birth to my heart’s purpose and
my soul's calling in my business

Last fall, it became clear to me that it was time to do something to breathe new life into my coaching practice and branding/web design business. Clients were completing their work, and for reasons known and unknown, there was a lack of new clients to take their place.

I hadn’t worked with a coach in a couple of years. When I made the decision to get some support, I felt immediate relief, mixed with some fear. The relief, though, was delicious. Deciding to invest in myself and my business development in a way I had never done before was huge for me!

The conception phase. I treated myself to some powerful heart-opening training. The Spiritual Marketing Quest, developing the True Spirit of my business with the Soundbite Shaman, and the Momentum course with Heart of Business.

Delusional thinking? After receiving all the data from these amazing teachers I thought that it would take a few months to transform my business from the doldrums into a successful heart-centered, niche-marketed operation. Three months, maybe. (Every time I reread this an involuntary and slightly painful snorting noise escapes my nose.)

I realized with astonishing and appalling clarity that while the surface was now scratched, and I now had the beginnings of a roadmap of the steps I wanted and needed to take, what was next was to start taking action! 

The long—and ever-growing—list. 
• Completely, juicily and audaciously redo, rewrite and restructure the Magnolias West  website
• Develop offers and programs that clearly appeal to my community
• Improve the way I welcome new subscribers, make them feel loved and cherished and gifted for joining the conversation with me
• Set up ways to get paid beyond sending out individual invoices, automate systems
• Become a guest blogger and have other heart-centered women write for my Morning Gratitudes blog
• Make collaborations and partnerships that feed and nurture my community
• And more, simply everything!—descriptions on all social media, content of autoresponders, taglines, and probably a few million other things that haven't yet occurred to me!

I guess there are superhuman women who can do this on their own. For me, not so much. I decided to get the support I craved. After some discernment I hired Yollana —one of the Heart of Business coaches—to support me through this process. Working with her has been one of the best gifts I've ever given myself.

I've written in more detail about this process of transformation here, broken down by imagined trimesters. Soon I’ll be starting the third trimester of this process, and if all goes well, I will soon be birthing a whole new heart-centered, juicy, audacious Magnolias West.
