• Quickly model scenarios via NetSim in-built UI featuring a grid based work space with sensors, sinks and agents or go deep and edit NetSim's config.xml files

• Abstract via agent based models featuring mobility, sensing event, sensor data collection, packet generation and reception. Agent primitives with C source code are available for modification and custom code development.

• Layer III: Per RFC 4278 DSR protocol and primitives include route formation, route maintenance and route error 

• 802.15.4 MAC: Slotted CSMA / CA, Unslotted CSMA / CA, GTS, CCA, Super Frame and Beacon transmission

• 802.15.4 PHY: Change radio state, Received Power, Shadow Loss, Path Loss Error, Bit Error Rate, Channel Formation, Clear Channel Assessment, SINR Calculation 

• Use NetSim's checkbox based filter for generating packet trace and simulation diagnostics

Developing Custom Code

• Develop or Modify NetSim C based API's and link via NetSim's development environment 

• Attach your code to NetSim via MS VC ++ for simulation-in-the-loop de-bugging. Study forensics from NetSim's protocol data structures and associated variables that are open to users.
