Appellate Practice Institute: The Art of Legal
Argument
Learn from Dr.
Terry Morrow the secrets of creating persuasive appellate
arguments through effective rhetorical and communication
skills. His keynote address live from the 10th Annual
Appellate Practice Institute will include what NOT to say to
avoid ethical problems as well as practical ideas that
skilled appellate advocates use when constructing arguments
and putting theory into practice.
Then, three distinguished
panelists will comment on Dr. Morrow’s remarks as well as
present their own views on what constitutes effective
appellate advocacy. How do you create an effective
argument? What techniques are particularly persuasive
in oral argument? How can you improve your brief
writing? These experts will share their best advice on
how to present a compelling case from start to finish.
