Dear Friend of Mission Arvada,
This Colorado Gives Day, Mission Arvada of The Rising Church, a day shelter and housing navigation center for unhoused members of our community, faces unprecedented challenges—and we need your help to meet them. While our mission remains the same, our resources have been significantly impacted.

|
|
|
- New Case Manager Needed
Our case managers are at capacity, and we’ve had to turn away new clients in need of critical services. Your donation can help us hire a much-needed full-time case manager, ensuring we can support more individuals on their journey to stability.
- Addressing a $200K Funding Shortfall
Next year, Mission Arvada will face a $200K shortfall due to external funding cuts beyond our control:
- Loss of Federal and State Grants: Critical funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which covered food, bus passes, and staffing, has ended.
- Temporary Grant Suspensions: Our largest partner, Colorado Community Health Alliance (CCHA), which provided $148K last year, is pausing its support for 2025 to focus on recertifying its Medicaid funding.
- Reduced Grant Pools: The Community Food Grant, which funded food pantry supplies, was drastically reduced this year, impacting our ability to purchase food staples.
These changes reflect larger funding shifts, not our program’s effectiveness. In fact, our services are more in demand than ever. With your support, we can overcome these hurdles and continue providing the high-quality care our clients depend on.
