Join a free, English/Spanish bilingual family bird walk for all ages! Together we’ll explore the woodland habitat at Pier 1, search the salt marsh for waterbirds, and watch for feathered friends overhead.   

Enjoy a beautiful morning looking for migratory birds. Beginners welcome! Binoculars will be provided.   

Learn the basics of birding and search for the dozens of species that visit Prospect Park through all seasons. 

Kick off the spring season with fun nature activities. Families and children can learn about bird migration through interactive games and a bird walk. 

Engage in meaningful, hands-on projects, such as building two (2) types of plant-supporting trellises and adding soil to vegetable plots. 

Learn how to work with wood. You will leave with hands-on experience of how to operate tools (available in our Tool Library) and how you may use them in your own projects.

Learn about the Jewel of Bay Ridge: the Narrows Botanical Gardens! Enjoy a film about the history with a Q&A afterwards. Light refreshments will be served.  

Join a sewing and fiber arts get together on the second Tuesday of each month. 

Join a group of like-minded folks to knit or crochet (or even cross-stitch or embroider!) for an hour of friendship and community.
