Ethereal Skies II, Hushed Evening, oil on canvas, 30" x 30" by Laurel Sherrie
In the Studio
I'm finishing up my new sky paintings for their July 11th debut at
Big Sky Cafe in San Luis Obispo, a long-time favorite downtown eatery - a pioneering farm-to-table cafe with local wines by the glass. It's a great place for food and art!
Many of the paintings and the show are named Ethereal Skies. Ethereal refers to "beyond the earth, celestial, spiritual,"
just how I feel about wondrous skies with amazing light.
A client who saw them in my studio said, “I was thrilled to get a sneak peek of Laurel's new work and new direction. Looking at them, I felt swept away to another dimension. A spiritual feeling - they transported me away from this world.” JDG
