This two-hour dance and music extravaganza is an inspiring epic, reliving the journey of the Irish Celts throughout a thousand years of history. Using modern art forms, this richly costumed show marries the contemporary and the ancient, combining 22 Irish Dancers, 3 Celtic Tenors and a full band of Celtic musicians.
“My father would have envied some of the incredible moves these dancers execute. Very, very impressive indeed!”
~ Bridget Kelly, Daughter of Gene Kelly
Rhythm of the Dance is internationally rated as one of the most popular Irish step shows in the world. The troupe aspires to preserve the traditions of Irish step dance while presenting a modern format that has made it a leader in its field.
Rhythm of the Dance blends the principle forms of Irish dance - Step, Set, Old Style Step and Sean-nós - re-invented and reworked to enhance the production. ROTD dancers are among the most accomplished Irish dancers in the world.
Over the years, the show has included numerous national, international and world champion dancers. Their dedication to the art form of Irish dance is clearly evident on stage with their graceful movement and disciplined control.

What is not evident is the off-stage commitment required to reach the level of Irish dance demanded. With the rigours of touring and the endless hours of rehearsals and practice, the dancers form lifelong friendships. It is this close kinship that enables the dancers and choreography team to deliver the driving rhythmic performance which is enjoyed live by millions worldwide.
