Krusen, MD, Lifetime Achievement Award for advancing research and clinical care in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Bell is the Chair of PM&R at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Bell is a nationally recognized researcher of traumatic brain injury and holds the Kimberly-Clark Distinguished Chair in Mobility Research.
A former radio personality and today as a TBI survivor, Patti shares her story internationally giving hope to others as they go through adversity. She has authored 2 books and co-authored 4 other books as well as voiced her own autobiography,
Coping with Traumatic Brain Injury: One Woman’s Journey from Death to Life. She is an advocate for brain injury serving many organizations such as Vice President of Hope After Brain Injury and Chair of Services and Support Committee of Texas Brain Injury Advisory Council.
Under his leadership, Dr. Stedham successfully created and implemented two thriving counseling programs in Texas. Dr. Stedham serves on the board of directors with Hope After Brain Injury. He facilitated their support group for caregivers from 2011- 2017. Recently retired, he speaks nationally addressing issues related to life transitions.
