WHAT THE COURSE INVOLVES: 

The 2-Day Practitioner Workshop is designed for rehabilitation professionals and students who would like to teach their clients the functional aspects of essential stretches and floor exercises to gain more confidence in their ongoing post-acute programs.

These exercises are specifically chosen to address the most common rehab situations - such as lower back pain, shoulder and hip dysfunction and a weak core. The approach is to teach the practitioner the fundamentals of specific movement with a view to progressing the client where they are able to manage a routine by themselves.

This purely  functional approach to Pilates also focuses on:

• core stability (focusing on  lateral core stabilization!)
• joint stabilization
• breathing techniques
• muscle isolation
• muscle balancing
• why exercising with 'neutral spine' can be bad for your back!
