Adventuress is BACK!
So much has happened over the last month:
- Phases II and III of the Centennial Restoration were completed
- Adventuress went back in the water
- The "shake down" sail was a success!
- The new Crew arrived and trained
- We've had GREAT Public Sails in Port Townsend and Seattle
- Membership March rocked - 113 people joined Sound Experience
- and our first overnight program was life-changing.

This Fall: Sail, Explore & Discover with Your Students
Set sail and discover the wonders of Puget Sound's marine life, the teamwork of sailing, and life aboard a historic ship. Work with our educators to craft your ideal program.
We are now scheduling our September and October programs out of Olympia, Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Seattle, Bainbridge Island, Everett, Port Townsend, and Port Angeles. Contact Megan in our office to get your school aboard - megan@soundexp.org.

Pick Your Public Sail
Members of Sound Experience sail at no cost on all Public Sails aboard Adventuress, and their guests sails at half price. These 3-hour excursions are offered from ports throughout Puget Sound. Here are the upcoming Public Sails.

Earth Day in Gig Harbor
Celebrating Environmental and Historic Preservation -- Restore, Renew and Reuse
On Friday, April 22, Adventuress will celebrate Earth Day with environmental and maritime preservation partners, and the City of Gig Harbor. Adventuress and her crew will be dockside from 10AM-5PM offering engaging learning opportunities. All activities are FREE and open to the public. Schools and youth groups are encouraged to visit.

Moms Sail Free on Mother's Day!
(Yes, We're Serious)
Celebrate Mother’s Day with a 3-hour sail aboard the beautiful schooner Adventuress. Raise the sails, sing a sea chantey and have Mom take the helm of a nearly-century old wooden tall ship. Experience the magic of sailing aboard Adventuress and give mom a Mother’s Day that she will never forget!
Adventuress will host two Mother’s Day Sails from Olympia’s Port Plaza Dock at Swantown Marina on Sunday, May 8th.
Mom's Sail #1: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Mom's Sail #2: 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Cost (for non-Moms) is $50/Adults and $30/Youth (0-17). All ages are welcome. To register, call Melanie at (360) 379-0438.

Sound Voyage 2011
People for Puget Sound
People For Puget Sound and Sound Experience invite you on a voyage to discover the wonders of our marine waters and to meet the people working for its protection and recovery.
In celebration of its 20th year, People For Puget Sound embarks on a unique and historic voyage ‘round-the-Sound visiting the Puget Sound communities of Tacoma, Olympia, Everett, Coupeville, Bellingham, Port Townsend and Friday Harbor. Available are a limited number of three-day, two-night voyage packages for $500 per person and day trips between selected Puget Sound ports for $100 per person.
All participants are also invited to 20th anniversary celebrations People For Puget Sound will hold in ports-of-call. All segments of the voyage will be hosted by retiring executive director Kathy Fletcher and next executive director Tom Bancroft and guided by an on-board marine naturalists.
