NEW: Parent Class in Raising Adventurous Eaters!
|
|
We have two classes coming up in Baby Led Weaning!
Come join a discussion and primer on how to guide your little one to become an adventurous eater. We'll discuss the ins and outs of baby-led weaning (BLW), how it differs from "traditional" methods of starting solids and how to provide your child the guided structure needed to succeed in developing positive eating habits.
The class will cover pointers in starting solids (or moving away from puree), gagging/ choking, first foods, how to adapt your recipes into blw-friendly meals, food samples, handouts, Q&A and more.
Saturday, November 1, 11:00-12:30 PM
at Raising Astoria, Queens
Sunday, November 2, 1:00-2:30 PM
at Caribou Baby, Brooklyn
Register now at: allergictosalad.eventbrite.com

October Recipe:
Pumpkin Pie Empanadas
|
|
“Like heaven in a pocket!” One student exclaimed.
“I want to live inside of this.” Another said.
I was on a quest to make something fun and festive for my students. Something that might quench their forever requests for cookies and cupcakes. More importantly, in this shortened week of heavy cooking everywhere, I wanted something simple. So I walked to the train and had my aha moment — Empanadas.
My students love empanadas. Hand-held treats they can personalize. Nothing could be better.
Read more and get the recipe on the blog.
