Grand Opening of the new ReStore is a Success!
Thank you!!
ReStore Manager, Anthony Sacco wanted to say, “Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Habitat and the ReStore during our Grand Opening. Your time, talents and treasures help fund our mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope."
Volunteers donated over 56 hours on Grand Opening Day. That does not include the hundreds of dedicated hours and countless number of groups, organizations, and individual volunteers to make our Grand Opening day a success, we could not have done it without you.
A special Thank you to Kiwanis for donating $50,000 towards the expenses of expanding the ReStore at the new location, without their support of this endeavor it would not have happened. Thank you John Tipton for your many hours getting the phone system in place. Another thank you to Saucy Dogs & Bundy Lawn Service for donating & serving over 750 hot dogs to our ReStore guests. Thank you also to Steve Green of Mecca Management for allowing use of the adjoining warehouse during our Grand Opening.
Our success is attributed to the hard work and dedication of our staff, volunteers and donors like you!
Keep the donated building supplies, furniture and household items coming!

Welcoming Erin &
Thanking Volunteers
In case you haven't put the face to the phone call you may have received to volunteer recently, we are happy to introduce our new AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator Erin Buck.
Erin began her passion for Habitat with the Fulton County Affiliate in Delta, Ohio as a volunteer where she began Youth United, a youth led organization, and still serves as the Youth United Advisor. In 2014, Erin traveled to Crow Creek Reservation in South Dakota and worked with the Dacotah Tipis Habitat for Humanity where she participated in Habitat builds. Prior to Habitat, Erin was an American Sign Language Interpreter and a Bowling Green City Police Dispatcher. Currently Erin is serving Habitat of Lenawee as our AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator where she helps volunteers donate their time to support the Habitat mission.
Erin had these words to share about her first months with Habitat.
Lenawee County, you amaze me! I am from Ohio (please do not hold that against me) and I have to say Michigan can get it done! The second annual Rock the Block Event had 330 volunteers who contributed 744 hours in a single day!! Care-A-Vanners
Silently, they roll into town with a smile on their face and hearts filled with anticipation for work to begin. They arrive in their home on wheels, their faces are unfamiliar to the neighborhood, but they unload their RVs and their hands start working. It isn't long before a change has been made in a neighborhood, one house at a time. Who are they? Care-A-Vanners; they are couples or individuals who have a heart to serve and help change neighborhoods by donating their time, money, and energy in building decent and affordable homes with Habitat for Humanity across the nation.

Historic East Adrian was blessed with a visit from 14 Care-A-Vanners September 13-26th. During their visit they focused on the future home of the Foote’s. The Care-A-Vanners brought new life to the ranch style home by removing and replacing the roof and siding, installing windows, storm doors, and insulation to improve energy efficiency of the home. The Care-A-Vanners completed the revitalization by applying a fresh coat of paint to the home. Thank you Care-A-Vanners for your dedication and hard work in Lenawee County and to extended gratitude to Care-A-Vanners across the nation who show they care enough to travel around the nation to assist Habitat in maintaining affordable housing.
