HABITAT RESTORE BREAKS GROUND AT FUTURE LOCATION
Everyone is asking, when is the new ReStore on US-223 opening and now we can say. The new Habitat ReStore will be open Saturday, September 26 at 10am. Construction of the new façade has begun and excellent merchandise is being collected and stored to fill the new 12,000 sq. ft. building, which is nearly four times the size of our current store on Treat Highway. The new ReStore will continue to be open Tuesday through Saturday, but new store hours will be 10am-5pm all five days of the week.
As we deepen our partnership with the Lenawee County Land Bank Authority and the City of Adrian, salvaging items from homes that will be demolished through the Blight Elimination Grant is a high priority and in order to accomplish that we need additional help. It is our hope to find volunteers that will dedicate themselves to these positions and to Habitat’s mission to build homes and communities and hope. If you or someone you know would like to work with us at the new ReStore, the following positions are critical: ReStore Donation Ambassador, ReStore Sales Clerk, and Tools/Appliance Testing Manager. If you or someone you know would prefer volunteering outside of the store, we also need Deconstruction/Salvage Team Members.
Volunteers set their own schedule. We are very flexible, however we ask for a commitment in your schedule so we can serve the public with the highest level of customer service possible. This is going to be well organized space and a pleasant place to volunter, please spread the word about our opportunities.
Anyone interested in volunteering should visit our web site to view the volunteer opportunities and expectations. If you want to sign up click here or call 517.265.6157 with any questions.
Between now and September 19, the ReStore on Treat Highway is open for business at 2811 Treat Hwy., Adrian so please DONATE, SHOP & VOLUNTEER all summer long!
In Christ,
Lynne Punnett, Executive Director

They both love sports, their favorite is basketball but they love swimming, playing with friends and video games.
Amanda says
"I feel very fortunate that I found this program that Habitat has. I have always dreamed of owning my own home, but never thought it was possible. It would give us a sense of stability and freedom to make changes to make it feel like our own home.
Thank you for choosing my family to be a partner family. We are very excited to be a part of this wonderful program."
Welcome to the Braman family. Single mother, Ashleigh is Office Manager at ServiceMaster of Adrian (pictured right).
She has three children, Jayden 10, Maleia 8, and Jaxyn 3. Jayden loves soccer. Maleia really enjoys reading and basketball but also loves dressing up and playing with her Barbies. Jaxyn will be starting Head Start in the fall and enjoys counting, and coloring. He loves throwing or kicking a ball around, and he really enjoys playing in water.
Ashleigh says, "being a young, single mother I have had many struggles. Financial stability has been such a huge burden on today’s society, as well as myself and I am forever grateful to finally see a light at the end of a tunnel. I have rented for the last 10 years, as I focused on bettering our lives and reaching our goal of one day owning a home. Being given the opportunity to have a house to call ours and put the money into a forever asset, is such a God send. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and good things come to those who wait. I want to thank all the volunteers for all your hard work, your support, and your commitment to helping my children and I achieve this goal. Without you it wouldn't be possible."
