" Mary Magdalene found the disciples and told them, “I have seen the Lord!”
” ~ John 20:18
I love this! Years ago, there was a song I used to sing entitled, "
I've Just Seen Jesus", originally performed by Sandi Patty and Larnell Harris. It's a song that tells the story of when Mary discovered the empty tomb of Jesus and then
coming face to face with Him in the garden. Even though Jesus had previously told them that He would rise again, this must have been the most amazing experience for Mary.
After seeing Him, Mary ran to the other disciples to report her finding. She must have been bouncing inside! On Sunday, we'll talk more about the disciples' response and what happened after.
Whether you call it easter or resurrection Sunday, this is the most exciting worship service of the year. Essentially, none of the other times of worship would matter if it were not for easter! AMAZING!
As is typical, there may be guests with us on Sunday who rarely, if ever, worship or even know Jesus. Join me in praying for this service. I am expecting a great outpouring! You with me?

Last class of ALPHA is tonight! |
|
|
Tonight we'll have the last class of this Alpha group here at Grace beginning at 6:00. We are so excited about what God has done throughout the class and thank everyone who has helped lead, cook, facilitate and, especially, pray! This cannot happen without your help.
"
What about the Church?" That's the question and title of our video tonight. The answer to this question is one of the reasons Grace Chapel is growing and people continue to visit and get plugged in. We have committed to stop, listen to God's voice and then, simply respond to what He tells us to do. That takes a load off of someone who has spent much of life trying to please everyone. Plus, the results are so much sweeter!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Beginning next Thursday, April 5th, we are starting a
Youth Alpha that will continue through the end of May. We are really excited about this next Alpha and especially for the impact we know it will make in the lives of young people.
CLICK HERE to see a taste of what Youth Alpha is about.
Are you passionate about seeing the younger generation raised up? We need you! We have a few folks who have already volunteered to help. But we can always make room for more. Please call me or
email me for more details.
Thank you to everyone for your help in making this an amazing time of evangelism and discipleship!

Guys, join me tomorrow evening at 6:30 at Bob Evans adjacent to the Whole Foods plaza off San Jose Boulevard. Grab a bite to eat or just sip on a soda as we chat about what the Lord wants for us men at Grace Chapel and we need your voice there.
John Dean has spearheaded this outreach and has a passion to see men in the Body of Christ unite and challenge each other to grow deeper in their relationship with the Father.
By the way, come even if you're not eating. Grab a coffee or soda and be a part.
This is a great thing and the Lord is pleased with our willingness to make disciples!

Last week, Terri started back in teaching the Thursday
Bible study. I've already heard from a couple of folks who were there about how great it was and how much they enjoyed the teaching and fellowship.
This is an awesome opportunity to learn more of the Word and to get to know each other better. Come be a part each Thursday. I know you'll enjoy and be blessed! |

If you haven't noticed it yet, let me be the first to tell you, our ministry to children is growing! This past Sunday, we had a packed baby and toddler room. What a great challenge!
We have prayed and asked the Lord to bring us families and children and He is doing just that. With it comes the need for more volunteers to teach and minister to these children. Please pray and believe with us for the laborers. In fact, if you want to be a part of this amazing ministry, speak to Alisa Spellman to see how you can get plugged in right away.
Also, we have some big needs for furniture and supplies. Alisa has been working to put together a shopping registry with needed items. So be on the look out for a link to this registry and, if you're able, help us out with an item or two.
Big things are happening!

Starting the first Friday in April and continuing each first and third Friday, we are restarting the Grace Group in our home.
What's a
Grace Group? Good question! It's all about fellowship, eating together, sharing each other's lives, praying for each other and seeing growth. We would love to have you join us!
Mark your calendars and come be a part!

As a reminder, we record each of our services and have them loaded on our website for anyone to download and listen to. Believe it or not, there are quite a few folks around the globe who listen each week.

Our times of prayer are growing in their effectiveness. I'm convinced it's because of the power in agreement.
We are praying for increase in evangelism, prophecy, teaching, healing, protection, financial provision, favor and many other things as the Holy Spirit leads us. We need you to get involved. God is doing an amazing thing at Grace Chapel and we're excited to be a part of it.
Join us in prayer at one or more of the following times of corporate prayer:
- Wednesday 10:00am, AND TONIGHT at 7:00pm
- Saturday 10:00am
- Sunday 9:30am
Also, Wednesday and Saturday prayer time is a great opportunity for special prayer for healing, deliverance and prophecy.
If you have a prayer request, you can easily send it either by
clicking here or visiting our website at
gracechapeljax.com. Again, there is power in agreement!
