This latest Australian publication by renowned translator and academic Ali Darwish published in 2013 presents a framework for translation-mediated forensic analysis to deal with problems that require special techniques, procedures and methodologies not normally found in a recently developing branch of linguistics called Forensic Linguistics. Forensic translation, as referred to in this book is “the application of translation knowledge to mediated forensic contexts for the purposes of the law, such as establishing evidence.”

• Community Language Interpreting-A Workbook, Jieun Lee and Adrian Buzo

This most popular educational and reference book is an Australian publication written by prominent educators and practitioners of interpreting and translation is an excellent resource guide for trainees as well as practicing interpreters. The aim of this book is to help trainee interpreters in particular to develop their skills in community, business and official interpreting. It provides a broad range of practice options and may be used as a workbook, class textbook, or self-study aid for students preparing for professional accreditation tests. There are 10 units each devoted to one area of interpreting. Each unit provides basic information on an area of interpreting, then outlining major issues that interpreters often encounter in this area. This is followed by some suggested points of focus and preparation.
