Summer Holidays Ministry
April 30, 2025 Update
Dear RHM Friends,
Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.
"And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds..."
Hebrews 10:24
I am very thankful that the Lord has connected us with ministers who have this same desire, always looking for ways to love and do good deeds for the people, hoping to lead each and every one to salvation and spiritual growth. I've had a desire for years (which I believe is from Him) that this RHM ministry would be able to, not only help the children with their physical needs and education, but also help those who have desires to serve the Lord in future years. Without the Lord's assistance, poor people have no means to start children's homes, help the poor and elderly, do evangelistic work, plant churches, etc. Through the means of education, perhaps most of the children will be able to get a job to provide for their families in the future, and hopefully assist other ministries in a financial way. But we hope in the Lord that some of the many children we are working with will themselves have a desire to forego a secular occupation so that they can more directly serve the Lord and the people in some way. May the Lord use RHM and our donors to help fulfill these desires in the future days!
For most of our children and youth, the summer holidays have already begun. The hottest part of summer in this part of India (most of our ministry is in the state of Andhra Pradesh on the southeastern coast) is typically from late April through the first week or two in June. So the summer holidays are usually during this time, schools and many colleges starting up again sometime during the 2nd week of June. We do have some college children whose colleges have a different schedule, but most of those colleges will also take at least part of the month of May off because of the heat. So we try to make the most of the holidays time so that we can minister more to the young people. Because of less funds at this time we might not be taking any bigger excursions this summer as we have in previous years. But we will still do some local excursions and have some house gatherings in different locations. Brother Prasanth is a pastor who helps us in ministry, and he usually will conduct some special youth meetings during the summer holidays, some of the children staying in the churches during these days to spend more time with the Lord. He and his father have 2 main branch churches, so we typically keep boys in one church and girls in the other. Pray for the Lord's blessing on all the spiritual activities during this summer season. Pray also for our 90 or more widows and elderly people during this summer season, as it can be very difficult for many of them. I'm not sure if there is anyone we minister to who has air conditioning in their homes, so you can imagine what it is like during the 4-6 weeks when the temperature is usually 100 or more every day, sometimes up to 110 or more.
I hope you will bookmark our
Blog or ministry
Facebook page, which will keep you somewhat updated on what's happening in this ministry. The Facebook page for the most part is the same blog posts. Feel free to share with friends.
Please see and read the photos & captions below. These captions always give you things that you can pray for, as well as rejoice with us for what the Lord is doing in the lives of our precious Indian friends.
Thank you ALWAYS for your love, prayers and support! Bless you.
Brother Dan

ABOVE: Precious sisters (from left) Kavya, Divya & Soniya with Raju & Pavani's little 10 month old daughter, Keren. Keren is the name of Job's 3rd daughter after he was restored (Job 42). Probably all the children like to go to Raju & Pavani's home to spend time with them when possible. That might be where they are when this photo was taken. |

ABOVE: Last year Anusha, the young woman in the photo (whom I've known since she was 7 years old) got married to Jacob. Earlier this month she had a little girl, born during the 8th month of pregnancy. Please pray for this little one, having serious complications, and weighing less than 3 pounds. |

ABOVE: Two women who are part of our widows & elderly ministry. Lakshmamma is a widow, showing the financial support she had just received from Brother Wesley, a pastor who is helping us in ministry. On the right is Vijaya Lakshmi, who never married and has had polio since she was a baby or very little girl. She has done the tailoring work for years to give her some income. Both women attend Wesley's church in their town of Singarayakonda. Lakshmamma has been a great help for Vijaya Lakshmi, who broke her leg more than a year ago, and cannot walk well.

Brother Samuel, sitting on the right, has been the pastor of this church for years. He is poor, his wife dying in 2023, his son's family also living with him. He is also on our support list, helping him with monthly medication for his paralysis.

ABOVE: The education of all the children but one in this photo is being provided through your donations. Private education is much cheaper in India, depending on the school and college. This school in the town of Bapatla is an average quality school, the principal (far right) giving concession for our children. The total amount needed for each child during the 2024-25 academic year was less than $300. |

ABOVE: These are our children from the same school in the previous photo, these children just finishing the 5th grade (the last day of school was April 23rd). From left are Danny, Jaison and Divya. The 2 boys both lost their Dads, while Divya's mother separated from the father because of abuse. |

ABOVE: These children just finished the 7th grade. From left is Mythilli (we don't sponsor her because her Dad is working and providing), Havila, Bhavya Sri, Pavan and Jeevan. All four that we sponsor, the Dads either died or left the home.

ABOVE: These children have finished 8th grade, all of them sponsored by your donations. From left are Shine, Asiya and Arun. Shine & Arun both lost their Dads, while Asiya's parents are both living. They are Muslims and won't attend the church, but because of healing miracles in Asiya's life they are allowing her to come, and also to participate in our ministry activities. |

ABOVE: 9th graders Soniya (left) and Nanditha. Soniya is one of the 3 sisters in the very first photo in this update, their mother leaving the father because of abuse. Nanditha's parents are alive, the father being one of our auto rickshaw drivers who helps us with transportation for the children to excursions and meetings. He is sponsoring 7th grader Mythilli, while we are sponsoring her older sisters Nanditha and Nandini, who just finished the 10th grade. |

ABOVE: This school has classes from kindergarten through 10th grade. In many parts of India the 10th grade is similar to a senior in high school in America. If they don't pass the 10th, then they cannot go onto higher studies. Thankfully, all these 3 girls passed all their 10th exams. Praise the Lord! From left are Sreeya, Nandini (Nanditha & Mythilli's sister), and Prasanna. Sreeya's Dad passed away and Prasanna's Dad left years ago. Please pray for all these amazing children! |

ABOVE: These are people from a poor village we have been ministering in for several years. It's really amazing how the local government and police have given them favor, as their little roadside village of run-down huts is on the main street going through town. Surely the officials could use that little plot of land for some other purpose, but we think the Lord is watching over them. A few of them have come to the Lord, and more seem to be slowly being drawn to listen as we come to minister. |

ABOVE: Brother Raju and his wife Pavani lead the children's ministry, working alongside another couple, Marthababu and his wife Pavani. Marthababu is the man in this photo, faithfully going week by week to share the Lord with whoever and however many villagers attend in this place called Nandayapalem. He and his Pavani are also the ones usually going to the village that was shown in the previous photo. Pray for the Lord's favor, protection and anointing on both couples as they reach out to the children and families in the precious Name of JESUS. |

ABOVE: A nice photo of Pavani and her little Keren with children gathered together for Akshaya's 15th birthday in early April (Akshaya the tall girl in the middle). Your donations are helping us to minister in various ways to 8 of the bigger girls in the photo, and 1 of the smaller ones. Thank You Lord, and thank you to our donors whom He is using! |
