Difficult Changes
June 30, 2025 Update
Dear RHM Friends,
Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain." Psalms 127:1
A familiar Verse which reminds us always to keep our eyes and hope only upon the Lord. As we see in this Scripture, we still have a part and responsibility to build and watch, but ultimately our hope is in the Lord.
"For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You." 2 Chronicles 20:12
Please pray for many of our widows and elderly who will be affected by some changes we are needing to make in the month of July. As many of you might remember, in 2018 we had a much smaller widows & elderly ministry. Around the middle of that year we had the great blessing of another larger organization helping us to enlarge the widows & elderly ministry (for ease we'll call it the WE ministry). In 2018, they helped us with $10,000 for WE. From 2019 to '23, their support averaged just under $40,000 per year for the WE ministry, helping us with some other projects as well. Only because of their support (the Lord through them) we took many more widows into the ministry. When they announced in 2023 that they would no longer be sponsoring our ministry, we had to make some deep cuts in the WE ministry. Thankfully, that organization graciously gave us $10,000 more in 2024. The Lord has enabled us to continue this WE ministry without making more severe cuts until now. Finally, we have reached a position to where we have to cut the WE part of our ministry about in half (or more) over the next 2 or 3 months. For now, we are not planning to drop any of the widows, elderly or handicapped from our list (hoping in Him for a miracle). But without that miracle, we will have to make some drastic cuts, possibly bringing this WE ministry back to where it was around 2018. Only the Lord knows for sure, but please pray for these precious people, that the Lord will give them favor and enable them to continue managing their lives, medications, etc.
Several updates on things we have asked you to pray for recently:
* Anusha's baby was born prematurely. Both mother and baby are now fine.
* Prem Kumar (hit suddenly with a debilitating disease) and his mother (kidney problems). Prem Kumar is slowly recovering, and the mother is very weak, still in danger from the kidney problems.
* Sunitha (one of our widows) was hit by a motorcycle, suffering a head injury and breaking her arm. Her head has healed, and her arm is recovering.
* Roja (one of our single mothers; the husband has abandoned the family, but comes and goes): Roja has a growth which we asked you to pray for. Doctors said it is not malignant, but needs to be removed.
* Radha (one of our widows) fell and broke her arm. Her surgery seems to have been successful, and she is recovering.
* Hepsiba needed to have an emergency c-section because her blood sugar levels went dangerously high. Sadly, the baby girl lived for one day or less, then expired. Hepsiba is still recovering in the hospital with a broken heart, but her blood sugar levels are slowly improving. She never had blood sugar problems before this pregnancy.
Please see and read the photos & captions below. These captions always give you things that you can pray for, as well as rejoice with us for what the Lord is doing in the lives of our precious Indian friends. Please pass on the info as the Lord might lead you.
Thank you ALWAYS for your love, prayers and support! Bless you.
Brother Dan

ABOVE: Widows and elderly in VV Palem, pastors Wesley and Samuel on the back row. Wesley helps us in ministry, and Samuel is the pastor of the people who attend the church behind them. The sign behind them says "Ebenezer Prayer House" in the Telugu language. There are 13 elderly from 2 villages who meet at this location (whom we have been assisting through your donations). |

ABOVE: Sister Sunitha (sitting) is one of our widows. We asked you to pray recently, as she was hit by a motorcycle and broke her leg and hit her head. She is very thankful for the Lord sparing her life! Here she is giving cake to her daughter, Shainy, on her 14th birthday June 13th.

ABOVE: Another one of our younger widows, Sister Radha, fell while getting off of an auto rickshaw (3-wheel taxi) several days ago. This photo was taken shortly before placing this rod inside her arm, which was broken in the accident. It seems that the surgery went well, and she also is very thankful for the Lord helping her in this situation. |

ABOVE: Seventeen boys with Brother Raju (right) and the auto rickshaw driver (left), when they went to the beach recently. Thirteen of these boys your donations are helping in various ways. All of them are getting some assistance with their education, but some of their mothers are widows or single mothers, so there is also some financial or food assistance.

ABOVE: Brother Raju sharing with the people before going on a trip to the beach. Whenever we have excursions, we like to have some spiritual activity to go along with it. I think we had 5 or 6 different special meetings and excursions during the children's summer holidays from their schools & colleges.

ABOVE: These are some of the about 33 girls who went to the beach in May (also after having a nice devotion time). These girls range from 12 to 19 years of age.

ABOVE: Three of our girls, from left Mary (19), Akshaya (15) and Soniya (15). They all seem to be good friends. We praise the Lord that Akshaya was recently healed from typhoid fever. She was having fevers again and again, so when her grandmother (whom Akshaya lives with) took her to the hospital, the tests revealed she had typhoid.

ABOVE: Sister Thomas (yes, that is correct) holding her new grandson. This sister is the mother of our Brother Prasanth, who helps us in ministry. She also has been greatly used in ministry over the years. Guess what the baby's name is: Thomas, named after his grandmother. The parents are Prasanth and his wife Prasanthi. |

ABOVE: These are 5 girls whom we are keeping with Sister Mary (right). From left, the girls are Venkata Lakshmi (11), Yasaswi (11), Soniya (15), Divya (12) and Bindu (13). Because Mary has been having many health issues as of late, the 2 women on the left (both on our widows & elderly list) are helping. Their names are Lakshmi and Karima. We're planning to keep this new venture small. |

ABOVE: This is one of our oldest girls, Blessy (closest to the camera), now 22. Here in the photo, she is with a friend she met as she was in "industrial training", a practical part of her college course. This will likely be her final year of college, as she hopes to get a job as a lab technician. |

ABOVE: Girls with Sisters Pavani (right) and Nirmala Devi (in the back). This photo was taken on Soniya's 15th birthday, Soniya 2nd from left on the middle row. On all our birthdays, we try to have a time of singing, sharing the Word and praying before honoring the birthday child with cutting a cake. It's a special time for all the children. |

ABOVE: This is an outdoor meeting, Brother Prasanth (lower right) leading them in prayer. Our ministry didn't conduct the meetings, but since many of our children attended from other villages and towns, we helped with transportation. |

ABOVE: Because of Hindu opposition at the place we were previously conducting Sunday afternoon meetings, we started meeting in this new location. This is a church, where perhaps we will be meeting for some time. Brother Raju is leading in prayer. |

ABOVE: Brother Prasanth sharing a message with the group on a recent Sunday afternoon. The people attend their own churches in the morning, eat lunch, then soon afterward come to this meeting. It is mostly widows, elderly, children and their family members whom we work with in ministry who are attending these meetings. |
