Quarterly Meter Reading Due Now!
The quarterly meter reading from your solar system is due on or before March 20, 2011. If your system is not installed and operating, please ignore this reminder.
We have identified that your solar system should have a Locus remote monitoring device present, however, we were not able to pull an automated meter reading between February 25th and today. This could be the result of a temporary disconnection of the Locus device from your internet connection; a situation where your Locus device was not connected to the internet at the time of installation; or another issue including a malfunction of the Locus device. It is our goal to see that your Locus device is functioning properly and that it is connecting to the internet so that we can begin receiving automated meter readings from your solar system.
While we work with you on the resolution, we ask that you please go online and enter a meter reading from the glass dome meter near your inverter.
The most recent automated meter reading we have from your system is with a reading date of . If there is no information in the prior sentence, we do not have any record that your Locus device was ever set up to report over the internet [or your solar system has yet to be installed]. If you believe this information is not correct, please reply with an explanation so we can investigate.
In order to best assist you in resolving the function of your Locus remote monitoring device, please respond to this e-mail with the following information. Please add details which will help us to identify the best course of action.
When you reply, please tell us which one of the following options best describes your situation:
A. I am aware that my Locus device is not connecting to the internet. This was my choice based on the type of internet connection I have; my lack of an internet connection; and/or other constraints involving my home. I should be set up in your system to enter meter readings manually using my glass dome solar meter.
B. I am aware of a situation with my internet connection and/or the connection of my Locus device to the intenet and I believe this will be temporary. I will enter a manual reading for now and plan to have CT Solar Leasing do automated readings in future quarters. You do not have to contact me at this point.
C. I was not aware that my Locus device was not reporting information to the website and that you are unable to receive automated meter readings. I will ener a manual reading for now and plan to pursue corrective action so that CT Solar Leasing can do automated meter readings in the future. (Please give any pertinent details including any past attempts to correct a connectivity issue and whether your installer has been contacted.)
We will respond to anyone who requests assistance with their Locus device but ask that you first follow the instructions on the troubleshooting document which is available under the "Help" tab on the Website. If you are not successful, please contact your installer as described in that document.
If the installer is unable to solve the issue, please contact us using the contact information below or reply to this message. Once you reply, please be patient and allow us to do some background work in order to be prepared to help you with your specific needs. Again, please go ahead and enter the manual reading as requested and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
