On January 31, we’ll learned from Dr. Jeffrey Thomas about avian intelligence and communication. No longer should we consider “bird brain” to be an epithet.
On February 7, Keren Zhu will explore the relationship between the United States and China. That relationship may well prove pivotal in global affairs and commerce over the years.

Unfortunately, we’ve learned that neither of the restaurants with which we had planned our first Lunch Bunch of the year has a record of our planned event. Accordingly, we must cancel that outing and start anew. A date for the first Lunch Bunch of 2025 will be announced very shortly, so keep reading these e-mail's.
Registration for our 2025 retreat at Wildacres opened on January 31. With a program focused entirely on music, I think you’ll want to attend if you can. To enjoy those and other offerings, of course, you need to ensure that your membership in Senior Scholars is current for 2025.

If you haven’t yet renewed your membership, see the instructions below for doing so. Remember to show your 2025 membership card at the entrance to Wolfe Hall.

If you haven’t yet finalized and activated your New Year’s resolutions, consider becoming an active volunteer in Senior Scholars. We have urgent need of some capable and interested members for these roles, among others: Second Vice President, a field trip coordinator and a member to help us put out our weekly e-mails to members. Find out more and let us know of your interest at the link below.
