On January 31, we’ll learned from Dr. Jeffrey Thomas about avian intelligence and communication. No longer should we consider “bird brain” to be an epithet.
On February 7, Keren Zhu will explore the relationship between the United States and China. That relationship may well prove pivotal in global affairs and commerce over the years.

Unfortunately, we’ve learned that neither of the restaurants with which we had planned our first Lunch Bunch of the year has a record of our planned event. Accordingly, we must cancel that outing and start anew. A date for the first Lunch Bunch of 2025 will be announced very shortly, so keep reading these e-mail's.
Registration for our 2025 retreat at Wildacres opened on January 31. With a program focused entirely on music, I think you’ll want to attend if you can. To enjoy those and other offerings, of course, you need to ensure that your membership in Senior Scholars is current for 2025.

U.S.-China relations have emerged as the most consequential dynamic in contemporary international relations, profoundly influencing global politics, economics, and security. This lecture will explore the evolution of U.S.-China relations since 1949, examine the key factors shaping the future of this relationship, and analyze how their competition extends to and impacts other regions.

These meetings are always held on the Zoom platform and you must register.

If you have not yet renewed, why don’t you log onto our website right now while you’re reading this or as soon as you’ve finished. Simply click on the link above and easily renew with your credit card. If you have been a 2024 member, the renewal cost for 2025 is only $25. You may pick up your 2025 card when you arrive, since that card is required for entry.
As new members join Senior Scholars, they are charged $35. The extra $10 we charge new members covers the cost of printing name badges for them.
