Single-Use Film Cameras
A Great Option For Family
Vacations or For Your Kids
At Summer Camp
|
|
|
Hi ,
I'm sure you have a very good camera, whether digital or 35mm. But, there may be times where taking snapshots on a single-use, plastic camera might make sense.
Here's are some situations where single-use cameras from Kodak or Fuji might be useful:
- Give SUCs to your kids when they go off to camp. Beyond being almost indestructible ... with their low cost it's no big deal if the camera gets lost.
- Disposable cameras are a good choice whenever you want to protect your expensive camera or cell phone from the elements.
- During outdoor & camping vacations
- On boats, canoes or kayaks
- At the beach, near lakes or at waterparks
- Where you'd like to have groups of people share their event experiences in pictures.
- Family reunions
- Summer weddings
I hope you find this information helpful,

Tips For Buying Single-Use Cameras
|
|
We recommend that you use top-branded cameras (from Kodak or Fuji) that contain fresh-dated film. This is especially true for life events like weddings:
-
Buy From A Reliable Source - How single-use-cameras are stored is very important.
- You'll be OK if you purchase from local drug or retail retail stores. But, tourist souvenir stores are likely to stock old cameras or may have stored the cameras without air conditioning.
- Think twice before buying on Amazon. You have no way of knowing how discount sellers are storing their film and single-use-cameras or where they get their supply from. (Probably not directly from Kodak or Fuji.) It's OK to buy online if the seller is a large, known photo supply house.
-
Check the Expiration Date - Do not accept any disposable camera that is beyond the "Use By" date on the packaging.
-
Discounted "Wedding" Cameras - May or May Not Be OK For Your Very Special Day:
-
- Yes, the outside packaging of these
reloaded
film cameras looks pretty – and the cameras have a bargain price.
- But, you have no way of checking whether the film inside is fresh or whether it was manufactured by Kodak or Fuji. (Or ... if it is ISO 400 or 800; not ISO 200 film that will cause your photos to be underexposed.)
