By exposing itself and its "tricks", a film challenges viewers to open up their eyes, to watch closely, to listen carefully, since the illusion of reality, on which a film is usually based, is destroyed right from the start. The film, in other words, seems to "reflect on itself", on its very existence, on the mechanisms that make it possible. This is "meta-cinema" - a cinema that goes beyond the surface and the illusion and takes its viewers aboard on a journey of self-discovery.
