Dear Patients and Friends,

THE LUNGS HATE TO BE DRY
I think I write about this every year, but otherwise well-heeled patients seem to forget this. Any sinus, respiratory, and even dry eye issues are greatly helped by appropriate humidity. This includes chemo patients with dry mouth as well as common grade coughs and sinus issues. Some medical authorities say 30 - 50% is ideal. I think somewhere between 35 and 45 is more comfortable. You can turn it off on days with high humidity and rain. It's best to buy a cheap hygrometer and keep it in your bedroom.
Here are a few photos from my recent trip:
Hanging out with a fellow acu-colleague who is using ultrasound to guide an acupuncture needle
Taking a walk in my wife's old hometown Nabari, Mie Prefecture.
Playing Pachinko with my son in the foreground and me in the back.
The healthiest, fanciest breakfast you'll ever find. At Sakakibara Onsen in Mie Prefecture (middle of nowhere)
Just sharing a bit of my travels to see family and friends..
I hope everybody has a wonderful holiday!
