Jurors, the Media and Fake News
In the last couple of years, the public (and
jurors!) have heard more and more about "fake news." Such publicity might
lead one to wonder how fake news and the concept of fake news might be shaping
jurors’ opinions. Or is this a new concept at all? Trial consultants
Johanna Carrane and Christina Ouska will explore how the news and "fake news"
affects jurors, whether some jurors are more susceptible to fake news stories,
and how a litigator can best try a case to those operating in an environment
where the truth can seem out of reach.
