In March the Minnesota
Supreme Court adopted noteworthy, extensive revisions to the
Minnesota state court civil practice rules.
July 1, 2018 is the effective
date. The amendments include several discovery
changes, a new class action provision, a revamping of the
rules on summary judgment and third-party practice, a change
to Rule 63 on disqualification of judges, and a new rule on
service of the summons by mail.
Every civil litigator in Minnesota state court needs to
be aware of these changes – what they are, which ones effect
substantive changes to practice, and which do not.
This webcast leads off with an overview of all the changes,
and then turns to a panel discussion focused on the
implications – and practice do’s and don’ts – related to the
rules that will result in substantive changes to state court
practice. |
