A 360-Degree Ethics
Outlook: Lessons from the Past and Practice Tips for the
Future
This ethics program will cover three timely topics, starting
with a session dedicated to ethics, mental health, and
well-being in a post-COVID environment that will discuss
ethical implications of the current state of affairs while
also offering perspectives and tools for coping.
Subsequently, faculty will discuss how you can
minimize your chances of receiving ethical complaints and
share tips and strategies that will help you avoid
unnecessary headaches and manage your risk. Lastly, the
program will end with a panel covering important 2021 ethics
cases and future trends.

Overcoming Ageism When
Working with Elder Clients
This elimination-of-bias program will provide an overview of ageism
and how it can be a pervasive form of bigotry that can find
its way into everyday practice without our conscious
awareness. Learn how we can reframe aging, with some
practical ideas and tools to assess current policies and
practices; understand how ageism may impact your legal
practice when working with elder clients; and understand
how to recognize
potential biases attorneys may have when working with elder older
adults, how they arise, and how they may impact clients.
Additionally, learn tools and strategies on how to move beyond such
biases to effectively advocate and assist your elder clients
in any legal setting.
