Minnesota CLE Online Surveys

Online Survey |
A reminder, if you haven’t already, to please
respond to the SHORT
two-minute survey described in our previous
e-mail message to you. All the details about the survey are in that message,
copied below. So far, 11% of you decided to assist us in learning about the
demographic characteristics of our contributors—thank you! That means
we have reached the $1,000 donation incentive and are on our way to reaching the
next-level goal of increasing that donation to $1,500 if we achieve at least a
15% response rate.

SHORT 2-Minute Survey |
Each year, more than
2,000 attorneys and other professionals plan and teach Minnesota CLE seminars
and write and edit our publications. You are one of those people, and we thank
you!
We are conducting a survey to learn about the demographic characteristics of
our presenters, planners, editors, and authors. The goal is to better
understand our current diversity and inclusivity and to assist in measuring our
continued efforts to incorporate even more diversity. (If you responded to
our similar survey in 2017 and/or 2019, it is important that you please respond
again as the information from this survey captures a different time period.)
This data will be used to prepare aggregate statistics about the diversity of
our Fiscal Year 2020, 2021 and 2022 groups (July 2019-June 2022). Minnesota
CLE respects your privacy and will not use the data to attempt to identify you.
A short privacy notice and an explanation of a donation incentive are set forth
below. When you wish to take the survey, please go to
MNCLE
2022 Survey.

This survey asks about race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, county or
state of practice, and disability status which we need to assess diversity and
inclusivity. We have contracted with the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation
(“Wilder”) to conduct this survey. Wilder has used SurveyMonkey to set up the
survey and has set SurveyMonkey to collect your responses anonymously with the
intention that your responses will not be connected to any of your personally
identifiable information. Minnesota CLE will not share your e-mail address with
Wilder or SurveyMonkey. Wilder will use the anonymous results to prepare a
report and will not share individual raw data with Minnesota CLE. When Wilder
reports on the results of this survey to Minnesota CLE, it will do so by
combining answers of all survey recipients in a summary. After the project has
been completed, Wilder will destroy its records of data collected. Please see

Our goal is to reach at least a 20% response rate for this survey. Minnesota
CLE will make a donation to the Minnesota State Bar Association Foundation in
the amount of $1,000 if we reach 10%, or $1,500 if we reach 15%, or $2,000 if we
reach 20%. Because Minnesota CLE and Wilder are not tracking your IP
address in conjunction with this survey, you will receive several e-mail
reminders from Minnesota CLE regarding this survey (though you will be able to
complete the survey only one time). We’ll take those upcoming opportunities to
let you know the response rate, to date.
Again, to take the survey, visit
MNCLE 2022 Survey.
