The availability of counterfeit goods has become a global issue. According to the Counterfeit Intelligence Bureau of the International Chamber of Commerce, counterfeit goods make up 5 to 7% of world trade. Among the leading industries seriously affected by counterfeiting are software, music recording, motion pictures, luxury goods, fashion garments, sportswear, perfumes, toys, aircraft components, spare parts, car accessories, food and pharmaceutical products.

Digitally printed cartons and labels can incorporate a number of security, anti-counterfeiting and track-and-trace features ranging from invisible and micro text to machine readable codes such as QR codes. Read here.

SP Ultraflex will hold an Open House at its plant in Mumbai in the second week of May 2015. This event is for the benefit of people who could not visit Plastindia and also those who would like to see the Roboslit in greater detail.

LMAI has announced that Jaipur will be the venue for the forthcoming 2015 conference. The much-awaited biennial event is scheduled to take place in Jaipur from 16 to 18 July, 2015.

PackPlus South 2015 review
At PackPlus 2015, IMA Pharma introduced PGB 250A stretch banding machine along with shrink tunnel for bundling the cartons. Arshad Electronics showcased the Aurae II C induction sealing machine and corona treaters at the event. Control Print displayed products such as the laser character printer non-porous 200, thermal inkjet printer, continuous inkjet printer, and hot quick coder. Parle Global Technology displayed Leepack machines.
