The side-wheel steamboat "Kent" heads down river for the Chesapeake Bay in 1894. The scene depicts a rural boat landing on the Wicomico River of Maryland's Eastern Shore, not far from Salisbury. In the days before bridges spanned the Chesapeake, steam packets such as "Kent" were the main link to the city of Baltimore and its markets across the Bay.

This hand-signed, limited edition print depicts the famous excursion steamboat "State of Delaware" on a moonlit evening in the 1930's. The "State of Delaware" was a familiar sight for years on the Delaware River, and in the early 1930's on the Chesapeake Bay out of Baltimore Harbor. "State of Delaware" was unique in its day: she had a full-size movie screen on her top deck! Imagine...sailing down the Chesapeake on this beautiful steamboat, gazing up at the stars, while watching the latest Clark Gable movie! "Moonlit Run" is a real piece of maritime history.
Edition Size: 500 s/n
Signed & Numbered: $50.00
